The first step in your ESG Journey…
Session 1: ESG Essentials – Understanding the What and the Why
This 1-hour session is co-convened with the Government of British Columbia ESG Centre of Excellence and will help companies, teams, and individual employees increase understanding of ESG and how it impacts the waste management sector across the province.
Start your ESG journey with a comprehensive overview of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. This session will cover the basics of ESG, its importance, and the benefits it brings to businesses. Learn how ESG factors are influencing the business landscape and why integrating these principles is becoming essential for long-term success. The session will provide an overview of ESG as a risk-management framework and how its importance has evolved from global capital markets to local SMEs and smaller businesses. This session will address the complexities of ESG and try to demystify the language surrounding it.
