With over 215 member organizations and 1,200 active participants in our community, plus an extended network exceeding 3,600 professionals representing all facets of British Columbia’s waste management industry, CWMA stands as the province’s largest industry-facing association.
We draw from every area of the industry: private sector, local and provincial government, First Nations, educators, consultants, other associations and councils, and non-profit organizations. Our members are from all across British Columbia, Canada, and the USA and all share in their care and work to manage, reduce, reuse, and recycle British Columbia’s solid waste.
CWMA members are involved recycling, composting, deconstruction, producer stewardship, policy development, waste analysis, waste disposal, hauling, education, consulting, managing facilities including landfills, transfer stations, eco-depots, and building the models and actions toward a more circular economy.
