Another great CWMA forum to help our members get baseline knowledge on an emerging topic or area of interest.
Municipalities and regional districts levy development cost charges on new development to pay for new or expanded infrastructure necessary to adequately service the demands of that new development including sewer, water, drainage, parks, roads, fire protection facilities, police facilities and, added in late 2024, solid waste and recycling facilities. DCCs are governed by provincial legislation.
With the recently-published Best Practices Document, a number of members reached out eager to learn more and to see if we can find examples of those who have already completed work in this area and also to have the Ministry available to answer questions… wishes really do come true:
NOTE: If you are implementing SW into your DCC bylaw, please consider sharing a few minutes of your work for all to learn from.
There is no cost for this event with thanks to the Regional District membership fees that help support event’s like this for everyone. Please consider membership with CWMA. Every organizational member helps us continue to respond to your needs with forums that help everyone learn and lead.
