CWMA Epic Landfill Road Trip 2026

CWMA Private Tour Event | June 10-11, 2026

A special event for the LFG Field & Flare Operators and Landfill Operators Working Groups

– DETAILS –

Regardless if you are driving, flying or walking, you are welcome to attend all or only parts of this great private event (you can be specific in the registration below).

There is an additional mingling event on Wednesday in Kamloops at the Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill | 285 Lorne St, Kamloops, BC V2C 1W2, which is a separate registration. Hope you can make that too!

– HOTEL –

Your CWMA host, Sheila Molloy as secured lower rates at the Sandman Signature Kamloops Hotel, which is conveniently the same building as the mingle event. Group rates and booking information.

– CARPOOL –

There is no bus for this event, but we are encouraging carpooling and ride sharing. If you are driving or are in the vicinity and can bring others, please consider adding your name to the carpool list: https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/gvp5zt

– COST–

$20 +GST. This amount covers thank-you gifts for our landfill hosts as well as some for event administration. CWMA’s operations are supported wholly by events, sponsors, and our membership fees. We are grateful for your patronage!

Day 1 – June 10

12:30-1:10 PM | Boston Flats Eco-Depot (40 min)
2:30-3:30 PM | Mission Flats Landfill Tour (60+ min)
4:30 6:15 | Kamloops mingle event for CWMA members and friends

Day 2 – June 11

8:30-9:15 AM | Cinnamon Ridge Composting Facility (45 min)
9:45-10:45 AM | Stswékstem Engineered Waste Management Facility (60 min)
11:00-11:30 AM | Kamloops Resource Recovery Center (30 min)
11:30 AM | Back on the road / Farewell all!

– SAFETY & SITE INFO –

BYO steel-toes and high-vis, please. At sites where we must drive, we will use our own vehicles and get out at key locations. We will plan to carpool to minimize the convoy size on sites.
