What We Do
FoodMesh is a Canadian-based social enterprise and Certified B Corporation dedicated to building circular food systems. As Canada’s leading surplus solution provider, we design and deliver effective food waste programs that—in alignment with the food waste hierarchy—reduce, recover, and divert edible and inedible food from landfills or incineration. To date, we have helped our partners divert over 53 million kilograms of food waste, provide more than 80 million meals to people in need, and unlock $16+ million in disposal cost savings.
How We Do It

- Managed Food Recovery Programs: End-to-end operational systems connecting commercial food organizations with local recovery partners, including charitable organizations, hobby farmers and upcyclers
- Surplus Marketplace & On-Demand Pickups: Tech-enabled platforms and logistics coordination to rapidly match and transport unsold or excess inventory.
- Public Outreach & Education: Supporting municipal and regional governments’ waste reduction efforts, designing and delivering research and behaviour change campaigns, including Love Food Hate Waste Canada.
