CWMA Annual General Meeting will be followed by a great Speaker and Networking Event: Zero Waste Horizons

–> Zero Waste Victoria is a plan to reduce waste disposal by 50% by 2040
–> City of Vancouver’s vision is to be a zero waste community by 2040
–> The RDN vision is a 90% diversion rate / 109 Kg per person by 2027

Join speakers from the City of Victoria, City of Vancouver,  and Regional District of Nanaimo to look out toward their zero waste horizons. It takes a lot of forethought and gumption to commit publicly to a specific path towards less waste. These three local governments have been leaders in setting targets and strategically moving toward these goals.  For all of them, there have been challenges and successes in the journey that we can all learn from as we move toward our own waste reduction goals.

Let’s learn from them and take time to share and discuss the next actions on our paths toward the horizon.
