From Strategy to Action toward Zero Waste
RECAP: A (virtual) web-based networking and information event hosted by the CWMA. So many organizations within our membership are moving forward on their strategic plans.
Attendees learned from City of Victoria and City of Vancouver more about the steps and actions, being undertaken to move their Zero Waste efforts forward. Sheila Malcolmson, Parliamentary Secretary for Environment, gave a quick but meaningful update on how the results of the plastics consultation were paused due to COVID-19 and shared some of the pandemic responses by the Ministry which was very illuminating. Bob McDonald outlined the current direction of EPR including improving existing programs and expansion of new ones.
