Click to read their bios..\n\nDoug Schell | BC Housing \nDoug Schell is currently the manager of Recycling and Waste Management for BC Housing and has over 35 years experience in the recycling and waste management sector. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders\, Doug is providing leadership in efforts to reduce waste and to increase engagement and education at BCH Housing complexes throughout BC. Doug inspires by his example and knows we can all do more to reduce our waste and to manage our natural resources better. By reducing our consumption and carbon footprint\, we can mitigate the negative effects of climate change. Doug co-founded one of the first full-service recycling companies in greater Vancouver called\, Waste Not Recycling Inc. He has worked with organizations for the past three decades offering tools to promote zero waste and continues to seek ways to reduce the barriers to recycling. Doug is also a board member of Zerowaste BC and on the Public/Technical Advisory Committee for the next 10-year Metro Vancouver Solid Waste Management Plan. \n____________________________________________________________________________ \nDominique Moazzezi Moghaddam | Capital Regional District \nDominique is currently the Solid Waste Initiatives Coordinator at the CRD. Dominique’s role includes the implementation of waste diversion initiatives for ICI and multi-family sectors which supports CRD’s Solid Waste Management Plan in achieving its waste diversion targets. Prior to the CRD\, Dominique worked within the housing sector industry and has gained considerable experience in the provincial and federal funding application processes. Dominique also served as a Senior Environmental Officer for a period 7 years within the Natural Resource Management Division of the Environmental Protection Agency in her home country Guyana\, South America. During this time\, Dominique contributed to the development of several strategies and action plans\, assessment reports and policies for her country. With a background in environmental management and over 15 years of professional working experience\, Dominique has worked with a wide range of stakeholders\, including Indigenous communities\, non-profit organizations\, academia and Government organizations and has contributed to the planning\, development and implementation of environmental projects\, programs and initiatives in British Columbia and Nova Scotia. Dominique has a Master of Resource and Environmental Management degree from Dalhousie University\, a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Guyana and a Post-graduate Diploma in Management from the University of London. \n____________________________________________________________________________ \nJohanna Webber | University of British Columbia \nJohanna has worked in student housing since 1999 and has been at UBC since 2002.  She has worked in many of the different residence areas at UBC from single student traditional style housing\, shared suites to family housing. She has been the Associate Director\, Building Services since 2020 with a focus on operations including custodial\, in-suite maintenance and providing high quality service . \n\nRicky Biring | University of British Columbia \nRicky has worked at UBC since 2002 and in the Facilities & Building Services department since 2007.  He has worked with administration\, operations\,  and project teams across the Student Housing and UBC portfolio.  He has been the Associate Director\, Facilities since 2023 and has extended his work at a more macro and strategic level\, as a Student Housing representative. \n
