Students & Grassroots Pricing

Each year, the CWMA Board provides a limited number of Grassroots & Student Conference Registrations at a reduced price for delegates from organizations that depend on grants and donations to operate, or from students that are enrolled in full time studies relating to waste management or the environment.

The Grassroots initiative is designed to give smaller organizations, typically non-profit societies, charities or those with limited funding such as students, an opportunity to participate in this event. Applications must be received by September 23, 2022 at 4:00 PM pacific time and will be reviewed by CWMA Board of Directors to determine eligibility. LEARN MORE / APPLY

Registration FAQ

What if health directives change and we cannot get together in-person in October?

We will all be together virtually then! If current pandemic rules change between now and October where it is apparent we will need to go virtual — then a full refund for the in-person portion of a registration will be given.

If I buy the in-person registration and then want to switch to virtual-only registration, can I get a refund?

For sure. Switch up until October 7, 2022 at 4:00 PM pacific time to receive a refund for the full difference between virtual and in-person price. Following that date, the reimbursement is half the difference (to cover the cost of ordered food, tours, etc.). Full refunds after October 7, 2022 will be considered by the Board for compelling reasons (e.g. personal health emergency).

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations received in writing on or before October 7, 2022 at 4:00 PM pacific time are fully refundable but may be subject to a $25 processing fee. Cancellations received in writing after October 7, 2022 will be refunded 50% of registration. Full refunds after October 7, 2022 will be considered by the Board for compelling reasons (e.g. personal health emergency). Non-payment or non-attendance does not constitute cancellation.
