CWMA 2021 Conference
Local Government & First Nations Roundtable
Plan to attend: October 20, 2021 | 2:00 pm to 4:45 pm (In-Person Only) | Salon B
Save the date: May 19, 2022 | 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (Virtual Only)
One of the hallmarks of the CWMA Conference are our popular roundtables: informative discussions for specific groups within our industry. Each year, the Coast Waste Management Association (CWMA) hosts ongoing meetings for regional district, municipal, First Nation communities and Ministry staff to discuss issues of common interest and to share ideas and best practices for waste management initiatives
CWMA is extending an invitation to staff from member and non-member communities to participate at the in-person event and, understanding how virtual is often better for our remote communities and those not ready to attend a larger event, we have set a date for a spring Roundtable.
We will look forward to a brief update from each community attending and the opportunity to participate in roundtable topic discussions.
All times are approximate.
2:00 PM – Welcome by CWMA Local Government Leaders
2:05 PM – Introductions & Updates (up to 5 min per organization depending on participation)
3:30 PM – BREAK
3:45 PM – Ministry Update
4;00 PM – Open Topics Discussion or further update time if required.
4:45 PM – Conclusion
There is no charge to attend this event.
You can attend in-person and not be registered for the entire Conference but will need to follow all protocols for Covid. No walk ups.
Advance registration is required.
- You must be a representative of BC Local Government or a First Nation involved in solid waste management to attend this roundtable.
