For those that will attend virtually only. The virtual experience will be accessed on our amazing EventMobi virtual platform or with direct Zoom Links for the Wednesday sessions. All attendees can interact via chat, live Q&A during plenary sessions, plus all the great sponsor and networking interactions the virtual platform offers.
Full-Access Combo Conference Registration (virtual & in-person)
Members: $225 plus GST | Friends of CWMA: $275 plus GST
For those that will attend in-person and virtually! The combination is particularly nice as we all manage our level of comfort in coming back together. You can be there in-person, but can watch virtually if you need a break. Your in-person experience will be at the Victoria Conference Centre and your virtual experience will be accessed on our amazing EventMobi virtual platform. All attendees will interact with each other via chat, live Q&A during plenary sessions, plus all the great sponsor and networking interactions the virtual platform offers.

Students & Grassroots
Each year, the CWMA Board provides a limited number of Grassroots & Student Conference Registrations at a reduced price for delegates from organizations that depend on grants and donations to operate, or from students that are enrolled in full time studies relating to waste management or the environment.
The Grassroots initiative is designed to give smaller organizations, typically non-profit societies, charities or those with limited funding such as students, an opportunity to participate in this event. Applications must be received by September 16, 2021 and will be reviewed by CWMA Board of Directors to determine eligibility. Learn more/Apply
What if health directives change and we cannot get together in-person in October?
We will all be together virtually then! If COVID-19 rules for large gatherings changes between now and October where it is apparent we will need to just go virtual — then a full refund for the in-person portion of a registration will be given. That said, our goal is to ensure we will have as much in-person attendance allowed. We have the fortune of a large space that can be divided into smaller spaces if need be.
When will we know if occupancy / the situation changes?
We will keep you updated as things progress toward the event.
Can I buy the virtual and then top up to combo?
You bet. Anytime up until the final Combo registration date of October 15, 2021.
Can I buy the combo and then switch to virtual and get a refund?
For sure, but that will only be allowed up until a date where we need to confirm food. In this case — downgrading registration from combo to virtual will only be reimbursed up to October 8, 2021.
I want to come, but I am not ready to commit yet.
We understand. We have not done an early bird price and we will keep registration open almost right up to the event. We want you to feel comfortable and know your health is important to us. The transition to fully open after this pandemic is not something we take lightly and we want everyone to take part at their comfort level.
Did you raise your prices?
We raised our virtual rate $25 from last year to help with the new AV costs to plug the virtual delegates into the in-person rooms. Our 2021 in-person combo conference rate is significantly lower. Past price for the full conference for members was $449 plus GST. The difference in price is a function of both ensuring that organizations can afford to attend (given many have had tough years) as well not having large, elaborate food displays and quantities.
